Course Description
The goal of this symposium is to enhance physicians' and other health care providers’ knowledge in the evaluation and treatment of patients with advanced heart failure (AHF).
Learning Objectives
- Discuss benefits of early patient referral.
- Recognize treatment options for the amyloid patient and high risk heart surgery patient.
- Examine clinical approach to higher risk LVAD patients.
- Discuss ECMO / shock treatment options as well as percutaneous valve interventions.
Target Audience
Primary care physicians, cardiologists, CV surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, allied health professionals and pharmacists.
