Baptist Arlington Emergency Department
On September 15, 2021, Baptist Memorial Health Care broke ground on the site of a new 35,000-square-foot facility that will house the first freestanding emergency department in West Tennessee.
This is also the first freestanding emergency department developed by Baptist, and it signifies a significant advancement in health care services in the area, which has experienced explosive growth in population and commercial and residential development. This growth, coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic, has highlighted the importance of having access to the right level of care at the right time. Our new freestanding emergency department will address the community’s need for emergency services, relieve the strain on other hospitals, and reassure surrounding neighborhoods that quality health care is close by.
Operating as an extension of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, our new eight-room freestanding emergency department will have laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound and CT services on-site. The ER will be open 24 hours a day.
The new facility will also include an imaging center and Baptist Medical Group primary care clinics to provide a broad range of health care services to the surrounding communities.
Follow our progress
Baptist is excited and proud that it can be the emergency provider for the town of Arlington and neighboring communities. Follow us to see progress on the site as we move toward our grand opening in January 2023.
